Auction result well in line with expectations
The work I Am A Mother - School Holidays 1983 by Davida Allen was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in April 2001. The price achieved of AUD 1,762.50 (€ 1,012.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Davida Allen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work With Knowledge of my Fourth Pregnancy in November 2002 with an auction result of AUD 19,975.00 (€ 11,264.60).
