Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by David W. Haddon could be acquired at Christies in London in September 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures auction, the work The banjo player changed hands for GBP 500.00 (€ 716.96) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Other works by David W. Haddon have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2003 by the work Portrait of a lady, bust-length, in a bonnet, wearing glasses at GBP 705.00 (€ 1,013.12).
