Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sunday Morning by David W. Haddon was sold in the British and Continental Pictures auction at Christies in London in August 2004. It changed hands for a price of GBP 298.75 (€ 442.15) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David W. Haddon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a lady, bust-length, in a bonnet, wearing glasses, which sold at auction in June 2003 for GBP 705.00 (€ 1,013.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sunday Morning von David W. Haddon wurde im August 2004 in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 298,75 (€ 442,15) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00. Für andere Arbeiten von David W. Haddon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, bust-length, in a bonnet, wearing glasses beobachtet, die im Juni 2003 für GBP 705,00 (€ 1.013,12) versteigert wurde.
