Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2000 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work Seemley, Devon by David W. Haddon. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 230.00 (€ 376.38), 15% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David W. Haddon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a lady, bust-length, in a bonnet, wearing glasses, which sold at auction in June 2003 for GBP 705.00 (€ 1,013.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seemley, Devon von David W. Haddon zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 230,00 (€ 376,38) und damit 15% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von David W. Haddon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, bust-length, in a bonnet, wearing glasses beobachtet, die im Juni 2003 für GBP 705,00 (€ 1.013,12) versteigert wurde.
