Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An alchemist in his workshop heating a pot by David Teniers II was auctioned at Bonhams in December last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 63,300.00 (€ 71,459.53) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Teniers II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Wine Harvest |《葡萄酒收穫》 in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 3,645,000.00 (€ 4,071,789.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit An alchemist in his workshop heating a pot von David Teniers II kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 63.300,00 (€ 71.459,53) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Teniers II erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Wine Harvest |《葡萄酒收穫》 im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.645.000,00 (€ 4.071.789,86).
