Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A dancing piper and his companions by David Teniers II was sold in the Old Masters Evening Auction auction at Sothebys in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 126,000.00 (€ 150,466.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Teniers II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Wine Harvest |《葡萄酒收穫》 in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 3,645,000.00 (€ 4,071,789.86).
