Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Bonhams held the auction British. Cool., which included the work Just You Know Why (Olive Oyl), 2010 (I). by David Spiller. The price achieved of GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,611.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Spiller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Only You (Tom) in September 2019 with an auction result of GBP 9,437.00 (€ 10,648.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion British. Cool. durch, in der auch die Arbeit Just You Know Why (Olive Oyl), 2010 (I). von David Spiller zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.295,00 (€ 2.611,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Spiller auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Only You (Tom) im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.437,00 (€ 10.648,54).
