Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Criteria (Firmitas, Utilitas, Venustas), 1993 by David Ligare was auctioned at Bonhams in September this year. The price achieved of USD 3,520.00 (€ 3,325.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Ligare achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape with Three Figures (Teleion) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 52,575.00 (€ 45,140.38).

Die Arbeit Criteria (Firmitas, Utilitas, Venustas), 1993 von David Ligare kam im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.520,00 (€ 3.325,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Ligare erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape with Three Figures (Teleion) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.575,00 (€ 45.140,38).
