Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rain on the Studio Window by David Hockney was auctioned at Bonhams in December last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 14,025.00 (€ 15,832.86) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Hockney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nichols Canyon in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 41,067,500.00 (€ 33,579,313.16).
