The work Untitled (Body Print) by David Hammons was sold in the Contemporary Evening Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May last year. It achieved a price of USD 1,071,000.00 (€ 998,043.05), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34%. Admittedly, works by David Hammons have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 8,005,000.00 (€ 5,883,433.78).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Body Print) von David Hammons wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Evening Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.071.000,00 (€ 998.043,05) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Hammons auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.005.000,00 (€ 5.883.433,78).
