The work Untitled (Body Print) by David Hammons was sold in the Contemporary Evening Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,381,000.00 (€ 1,286,925.73), 73% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by David Hammons have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 8,005,000.00 (€ 5,883,433.78).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Body Print) von David Hammons wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Evening Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.381.000,00 (€ 1.286.925,73) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Hammons auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.005.000,00 (€ 5.883.433,78).
