In June 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Roosters And A Rabbit In A Landscape by David de Coninck. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,304.60), 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David de Coninck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A peacock, wild turkey, hares, and pigeons in a garden, a landscape beyond; and A hare and game birds with three dogs, a landscape beyond in June 2015 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 112,067.42).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David de Coninck erzielen.
