Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Sothebys in Milan held the auction Old Master Paintings, 19th Century Paintings, Furniture, Works of Art and Rare Books, which included the work Natura Morta Con Pavone, Coniglio E Tacchino by David de Coninck. The price achieved of EUR 48,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David de Coninck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A peacock, wild turkey, hares, and pigeons in a garden, a landscape beyond; and A hare and game birds with three dogs, a landscape beyond, which sold at auction in June 2015 for USD 125,000.00 (€ 112,067.42).
