Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Still life by David Carr was sold in the 20th Century British Art including The Olga Davenport Collection auction at Christies in London in March 2009. It achieved a price of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 1,887.11), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Carr - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Man And Machine II, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,702.52).

Die Arbeit Still life von David Carr wurde im März 2009 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art including The Olga Davenport Collection bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 1.887,11) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von David Carr mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Man And Machine II beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.702,52) versteigert wurde.
