Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Man with Drill by David Carr. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,169.96) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Carr - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Man And Machine II, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,702.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Man with Drill von David Carr zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.169,96) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von David Carr mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Man And Machine II beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.702,52) versteigert wurde.
