Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Machine Operator by David Carr was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in October 2010. The price achieved of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,738.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Carr - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Man And Machine II, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,702.52).

Die Arbeit Machine Operator von David Carr wurde im Oktober 2010 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.738,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von David Carr mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Man And Machine II beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.702,52) versteigert wurde.
