Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Noah And The Ark And Mount Ararat I by David Brown Milne was auctioned at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CAD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of CAD 42,000.00 (€ 30,156.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by David Brown Milne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Trillums And Trilliums in May 2011 with an auction result of CAD 278,500.00 (€ 199,963.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Noah And The Ark And Mount Ararat I von David Brown Milne kam im Mai 2011 bei Sothebys in Toronto zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CAD 40.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CAD 42.000,00 (€ 30.156,09) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Brown Milne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Trillums And Trilliums im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 278.500,00 (€ 199.963,62).
