Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by David Brown Milne could be acquired at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Canadian Art auction, the work Mushrooms And Leaves changed hands for CAD 36,000.00 (€ 27,861.95) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of CAD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Brown Milne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Trillums And Trilliums in May 2011 with an auction result of CAD 278,500.00 (€ 199,963.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Brown Milne konnte im November 2012 bei Sothebys in Toronto für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important Canadian Art wechselte die Arbeit Mushrooms And Leaves für CAD 36.000,00 (€ 27.861,95) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von CAD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Brown Milne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Trillums And Trilliums im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 278.500,00 (€ 199.963,62).
