Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Flowers by David Brown Milne for CAD 24,000.00 (€ 17,931.88). This price was achieved in the auction Important Canadian Art at Sothebys in Toronto and was even below the estimate range of CAD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Brown Milne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trillums And Trilliums in May 2011 with an auction result of CAD 278,500.00 (€ 199,963.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Flowers von David Brown Milne für CAD 24.000,00 (€ 17.931,88) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Canadian Art bei Sothebys in Toronto erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von CAD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Brown Milne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Trillums And Trilliums im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 278.500,00 (€ 199.963,62).
