Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Selected Images (Polaroid Enlargements) by Dash Snow was sold in the Postwar and Contemporary Photographs auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 21,250.00 (€ 17,988.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Dash Snow have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 209,000.00 (€ 153,225.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Selected Images (Polaroid Enlargements) von Dash Snow wurde im September 2017 in der Auktion Postwar and Contemporary Photographs bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 17.988,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dash Snow auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 209.000,00 (€ 153.225,81).
