Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2020 Phillips in Online Auction held the auction Happy Hour: Online Auction, which included the work America Is Falling by Dash Snow. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,942.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dash Snow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 209,000.00 (€ 153,225.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2020 führte Phillips in Online Auction die Auktion Happy Hour: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit America Is Falling von Dash Snow zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.942,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dash Snow erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 209.000,00 (€ 153.225,81).
