Auction result well in line with expectations
The work West Sea Canyon by Darren Almond was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October 2021. The price achieved of USD 20,160.00 (€ 17,451.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Darren Almond have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Six Months Later in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 74,791.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit West Sea Canyon von Darren Almond kam im Oktober 2021 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 20.160,00 (€ 17.451,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Darren Almond auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Six Months Later im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.400,00 (€ 74.791,07).
