In May 2010 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Sale, which included the work Woman on Mattress by Darío Morales. The auction ended at the price of USD 40,000.00 (€ 32,338.91), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Other works by Darío Morales have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2000 the work Mujer lavandose los pies was auctioned for USD 45,825.00 (€ 48,009.43).
