Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Danny Lyon could be acquired at Bonhams in London in July this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs Now The Collector's Edition auction, the work Zahu, Gunny, & Odam, Huntsville, Texas (from 'Conversations with the Dead') changed hands for USD 1,280.00 (€ 1,161.52) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Danny Lyon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Conversations with the Dead, 1967-1968 in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 114,000.00 (€ 89,250.76).
