It achieved a price of AUD 7,637.50 (€ 4,227.69), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 27%. Admittedly, works by Danila Vassilieff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Newsboy in November 2001 with an auction result of AUD 37,600.00 (€ 21,838.89).

Die Arbeit Looking at TV von Danila Vassilieff kam im Mai 2003 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 7.637,50 (€ 4.227,69) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 27%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Danila Vassilieff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Newsboy im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 37.600,00 (€ 21.838,89).
