In July 2010 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Sand dunes on the coast by Daniel Sherrin. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,062.50 (€ 1,277.54), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Daniel Sherrin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Wooded Landscape with a Lake in April 2005 with an auction result of USD 10,800.00 (€ 8,359.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sand dunes on the coast von Daniel Sherrin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.062,50 (€ 1.277,54) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Daniel Sherrin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Wooded Landscape with a Lake im April 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.800,00 (€ 8.359,78).
