Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A convoy of ships during the First World War with additional support from the air by Daniel Sherrin was sold in the The Marine Sale auction at Bonhams in London in November 2020. The price achieved of GBP 1,147.50 (€ 1,281.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Daniel Sherrin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Wooded Landscape with a Lake in April 2005 with an auction result of USD 10,800.00 (€ 8,359.78).
