Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Returning Home At Dusk by Daniel Sherrin for GBP 780.00 (€ 1,158.32). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures including Marine pictures at Sothebys in Olympia and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Daniel Sherrin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Wooded Landscape with a Lake in April 2005 with an auction result of USD 10,800.00 (€ 8,359.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Returning Home At Dusk von Daniel Sherrin für GBP 780,00 (€ 1.158,32) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures including Marine pictures bei Sothebys in Olympia erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Daniel Sherrin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Wooded Landscape with a Lake im April 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.800,00 (€ 8.359,78).
