Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2014 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Normandy Girl by Daniel Ridgway Knight. The price achieved of USD 118,750.00 (€ 94,772.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Daniel Ridgway Knight have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Coming from the Garden in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 402,000.00 (€ 462,387.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2014 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Normandy Girl von Daniel Ridgway Knight zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 94.772,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Daniel Ridgway Knight auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Coming from the Garden im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 402.000,00 (€ 462.387,85).
