In February 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Gilded Age Revisited: Property from a Distinguished American Collection, which included the work Picking Flowers by Daniel Ridgway Knight. The »bidding war« ended at USD 137,500.00 (€ 120,836.63), 72% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Daniel Ridgway Knight - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Coming from the Garden, which sold at auction in November 2000 for USD 402,000.00 (€ 462,387.85).

Im Februar 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Gilded Age Revisited: Property from a Distinguished American Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Picking Flowers von Daniel Ridgway Knight zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 120.836,63) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Daniel Ridgway Knight mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Coming from the Garden beobachtet, die im November 2000 für USD 402.000,00 (€ 462.387,85) versteigert wurde.
