The work Poppies by Daniel Ridgway Knight was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2019. The »bidding war« ended at USD 87,500.00 (€ 78,482.38), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Daniel Ridgway Knight have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Coming from the Garden in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 402,000.00 (€ 462,387.85).

Die Arbeit Poppies von Daniel Ridgway Knight wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 78.482,38) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Daniel Ridgway Knight auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Coming from the Garden im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 402.000,00 (€ 462.387,85).
