The »bidding war« ended at USD 87,500.00 (€ 78,482.38), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Daniel Ridgway Knight have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Coming from the Garden in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 402,000.00 (€ 462,387.85).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 78.482,38) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Daniel Ridgway Knight auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Coming from the Garden im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 402.000,00 (€ 462.387,85).
