Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Lake Mohonk Landscape by Daniel Huntington was sold in the American Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2009. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 31,250.00 (€ 23,565.34). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Daniel Huntington - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Pair of Portraits: Mr. and Mrs. David Thompson, which sold at auction in January 2005 for USD 62,400.00 (€ 47,819.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Lake Mohonk Landscape von Daniel Huntington wurde im März 2009 in der Auktion American Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 31.250,00 (€ 23.565,34) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Daniel Huntington mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Pair of Portraits: Mr. and Mrs. David Thompson beobachtet, die im Januar 2005 für USD 62.400,00 (€ 47.819,76) versteigert wurde.
