In March 2005 Christies in New York held the auction THE HOUSE SALE, which included the work Portrait of A Lady In A White Dress, Said To Be Emily Astor by Daniel Huntington. The result of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,313.21) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daniel Huntington achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Pair of Portraits: Mr. and Mrs. David Thompson in January 2005 with an auction result of USD 62,400.00 (€ 47,819.76).
