Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait by Daniel Gordon for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,029.22). This price was achieved in the auction on paper | online at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Daniel Gordon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life with House Plants and Pink Vase in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 15,120.00 (€ 13,088.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait von Daniel Gordon für USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.029,22) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion on paper | online bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Daniel Gordon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life with House Plants and Pink Vase im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.120,00 (€ 13.088,64).
