Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work We The People (Detail) (Two Works) by Danh Vō. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,200,000.00 – 2,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,386,000.00 (€ 153,510.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Danh Vō have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work VJ Star in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 602,500.00 (€ 842,747.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit We The People (Detail) (Two Works) von Danh Vō zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.200.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.386.000,00 (€ 153.510,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Danh Vō auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit VJ Star im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 602.500,00 (€ 842.747,01).
