In October 2020 Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Photographs of Dr. Joseph M. Carrier 1962-1973 by Danh Vō. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 20,160.00 (€ 22,385.96), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Danh Vō achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work VJ Star in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 602,500.00 (€ 842,747.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Photographs of Dr. Joseph M. Carrier 1962-1973 von Danh Vō zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 20.160,00 (€ 22.385,96) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Danh Vō erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit VJ Star im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 602.500,00 (€ 842.747,01).
