Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Red Family by Dang Xuan Hoa was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 60,000.00 – 90,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 47,500.00 (€ 5,227.94). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dang Xuan Hoa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Life in April 2008 with an auction result of HKD 667,500.00 (€ 55,010.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Red Family von Dang Xuan Hoa im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 47.500,00 (€ 5.227,94) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dang Xuan Hoa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Life im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 667.500,00 (€ 55.010,44).
