Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Self Portrait by Dang Xuan Hoa was sold in the Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in May last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 31,875.00 (€ 3,784.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dang Xuan Hoa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Life in April 2008 with an auction result of HKD 667,500.00 (€ 55,010.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Self Portrait von Dang Xuan Hoa wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 31.875,00 (€ 3.784,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dang Xuan Hoa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Life im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 667.500,00 (€ 55.010,44).
