This artwork by Dang Xuan Hoa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in December 2019. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Online auction, the work Red Moon sold for HKD 87,500.00 (€ 10,007.13) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Dang Xuan Hoa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Life in April 2008 with an auction result of HKD 667,500.00 (€ 55,010.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dang Xuan Hoa erzielte im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Online wurde die Arbeit Red Moon für HKD 87.500,00 (€ 10.007,13) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dang Xuan Hoa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Life im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 667.500,00 (€ 55.010,44).
