Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Stray Dog, Misawa, Aomori by Daido Moriyama was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,260.99) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daido Moriyama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Smash-up from 'Accident', 1969 in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 31,700.00 (€ 40,323.79).
