Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Daido Moriyama could be acquired at Sothebys in London in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Provoke no. 2 changed hands for GBP 1,386.00 (€ 1,630.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daido Moriyama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Smash-up from 'Accident', 1969 in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 31,700.00 (€ 40,323.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Daido Moriyama konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Provoke no. 2 für GBP 1.386,00 (€ 1.630,50) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Daido Moriyama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Smash-up from 'Accident', 1969 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.700,00 (€ 40.323,79).
