Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Tube Staircase by Cyril Power was sold in the The Age of SpeedThe Grosvenor School and the Avant-garde auction at Bonhams in London in December this year. The price achieved of GBP 11,520.00 (€ 13,270.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cyril Power have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Whence & Whither? (C. Cep 14) in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 95,050.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Tube Staircase von Cyril Power wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Age of SpeedThe Grosvenor School and the Avant-garde bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.520,00 (€ 13.270,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cyril Power auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Whence & Whither? (C. Cep 14) im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 95.050,51).
