This artwork by Cyril Power achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in December this year. In the The Age of SpeedThe Grosvenor School and the Avant-garde auction, the work The Sunshine Roof sold for GBP 70,250.00 (€ 80,925.31) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Cyril Power; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Whence & Whither? (C. Cep 14) sold at auction in March 2015 with the realized price of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 95,050.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cyril Power erzielte im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Age of SpeedThe Grosvenor School and the Avant-garde wurde die Arbeit The Sunshine Roof für GBP 70.250,00 (€ 80.925,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Cyril Power; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Whence & Whither? (C. Cep 14) im März 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 95.050,51).
