It achieved a price of GBP 14,080.00 (€ 16,219.62), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 41%. Admittedly, works by Cyril Power have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Whence & Whither? (C. Cep 14) in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 95,050.51).

Die Arbeit The Escalator von Cyril Power kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 14.080,00 (€ 16.219,62) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 41%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cyril Power auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Whence & Whither? (C. Cep 14) im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 95.050,51).
