Auction result misses estimated price range
In December this year a collector was able to acquire the work The Giant Racer by Cyril Power for GBP 7,040.00 (€ 8,109.81). This price was achieved in the auction The Age of SpeedThe Grosvenor School and the Avant-garde at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cyril Power achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Whence & Whither? (C. Cep 14) in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 95,050.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Giant Racer von Cyril Power für GBP 7.040,00 (€ 8.109,81) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Age of SpeedThe Grosvenor School and the Avant-garde bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cyril Power erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Whence & Whither? (C. Cep 14) im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 95.050,51).
