Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Hockey by Cyril Power was sold in the The Age of SpeedThe Grosvenor School and the Avant-garde auction at Bonhams in London in December this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 14,080.00 (€ 16,219.62), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Cyril Power have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Whence & Whither? (C. Cep 14) in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 95,050.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Hockey von Cyril Power wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Age of SpeedThe Grosvenor School and the Avant-garde bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 14.080,00 (€ 16.219,62) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cyril Power auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Whence & Whither? (C. Cep 14) im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 95.050,51).
