Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Gate EMPIRE FDV CO OAKLAND CALIF by Cyprien Gaillard for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,954.71). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cyprien Gaillard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 193,750.00 (€ 183,440.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Gate EMPIRE FDV CO OAKLAND CALIF von Cyprien Gaillard für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.954,71) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cyprien Gaillard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 193.750,00 (€ 183.440,64).
