Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fields Of Rest by Cyprien Gaillard was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in London in April 2020. The price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,222.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cyprien Gaillard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 193,750.00 (€ 183,440.64).
