Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction A Special Selection of Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work One Day in 2004 - No. 2 by Cui Xiuwen. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 4,147.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Cui Xiuwen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work One Day In 2004 No.6 in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 58,000.00 (€ 40,790.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion A Special Selection of Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit One Day in 2004 - No. 2 von Cui Xiuwen zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 4.147,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cui Xiuwen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit One Day In 2004 No.6 im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 58.000,00 (€ 40.790,49).
