Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Cui Xiuwen could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Asia: Including a Collection of Works by Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita auction, the work One Day in 2004, No. 5 changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,146.26) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cui Xiuwen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work One Day In 2004 No.6 in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 58,000.00 (€ 40,790.49).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cui Xiuwen konnte im September 2019 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Including a Collection of Works by Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita wechselte die Arbeit One Day in 2004, No. 5 für USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.146,26) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cui Xiuwen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit One Day In 2004 No.6 im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 58.000,00 (€ 40.790,49).
